& updates

A legal research collection must remain open to scrutiny. Help us correct an error, check a source or identify a development that changes how an entry should be read.

You can use the form below or email us with the entry link and supporting material. For a follow-up, please quote your report reference.

Our editorial standards

Bring an issue to our attention

Send a correction report

Please submit one report for each entry. A precise explanation and a source we can check are more useful than a general objection. English and Bangla are welcome. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

The entry
A short description of the issue.
Paste the full address of the entry or page you are reporting.
Quote a short passage or identify the heading, paragraph or footnote. Leave empty if the issue concerns the whole entry.
The proposed change
Explain what should change and, where useful, provide replacement wording. Up to 5,000 characters.
Explain why the change is needed. Identify the judgment, provision, version, date or pinpoint reference where relevant. If no published source is available, explain the basis of your report. Up to 5,000 characters.
A public link to the primary material, where available. You may list further links in the explanation above.
Your details
For additional information about an existing report, include its AIN-R reference. Otherwise leave empty.

For a privacy concern, identify where the information appears without repeating unnecessary personal details. Please do not submit passwords, identity documents, confidential case materials or restricted documents through this form.

We use your details and report to assess the issue and, where needed, contact you. Form submissions and contact details are not published. Any notice on an entry describes the editorial change separately. Privacy information.

After you submit

A clear record
of what changes.

A report prompts editorial assessment. It does not automatically change or remove an entry. We may need further information before reaching a conclusion.

Assessment against the sources
We examine the issue in context and check the relevant material. Where a report concerns interpretation, we consider the argument and competing readings rather than treating disagreement alone as proof of an error.
Corrections and later developments
Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a separate notice. A material correction to a fact, authority, reasoning or conclusion should carry a dated note explaining the change. A later judgment or amendment should be identified as a subsequent development.
Substantial concerns
A serious error or integrity concern may call for an explanatory notice, replacement or withdrawal. The aim is to preserve an intelligible record of the change, with due attention to privacy and applicable legal restrictions.

To add information, submit a follow-up with your earlier reference or write to editor@ain.bd. Our editorial standards explain the approach in more detail.
