In the result, the reference is rejected. Criminal Appeal 11982 of 2019 preferred by Moshiur Rahman Montu, Criminal Appeal 6330 of 2019 preferred by Nazrul Islam and Rezaul Karim, Criminal Appeal 7390 of 2019 preferred by Md. Alim Hossain alias Chanchal alias Chandan, Md. Abdullah Al Mamun alias Abdullah, Iqbal Hossain alias Shuvo and Criminal Appeal 7377 of 2019 preferred by Sajib Ahmed alias Kamal Uddin are hereby allowed and the appellants are acquitted of the charges levelled against them. Convict Kawsar Mridha and Reza Mridha (both absconding) having been on similar footing with the above appellants should also be acquitted of the charge levelled against them. Convicts Nazrul Islam, Rezaul Karim, Alim Hossain alias Chanchal alias Chandan, Abdullah Al Mamun, Iqbal Hossain alias Shuvo and Sajib Ahmed alias Kamal Uddin are discharged from their respective bail bonds. The concerned authority is directed to set condemned-prisoner Moshiur Rahman Montu at liberty forthwith, if not wanted in any other cases.
